DesiGrocers Mango Ordering & Delivery Policy

Please review our terms and conditions below before placing your mango order. By ordering from DesiGrocers, you agree to these terms.

1. Mango Season Ordering & Delivery Schedule

During the Mango Season (typically mid-April to mid-June), we follow a strict weekly schedule to ensure optimal freshness.

• Order Window: Place your order as per request/advertise

• Processing: These orders will be processed on the following Weekends and Thursday, depend upon the arrival of mango shipments (usually Tuesday or Wednesday night).

• Dispatch & Arrival: Orders are dispatched via next-day courier for arrival on Thursday or Friday, depending on processing day.

2. Late Orders & Cut-Off Times

• Same-Week Potential: We may process late orders during the same week if there is surplus stock available from the latest shipment arrival.

• Default Processing: If stock is not available, late orders will automatically be processed the following week as per the schedule above.

• Contact First: We advise customers to contact us to confirm stock availability before placing a late order.

3. Quality Assurance, Box Inspection & Best Practice

• Our Check: Although mangoes are supplied in sealed boxes from the source, DesiGrocers opens each box prior to collection or courier dispatch. We verify the quantity and perform a basic quality check.

• External Factors: Please note that UK weather conditions and courier handling may occasionally affect fruit quality.

• Source Quality: We take great care in selecting premium quality Devgad Alphonso mangoes from Ratnagiri

4. Natural Characteristics of Mangoes & Natural Production Exceptions

Mangoes are delicate, natural produce. Customers should be aware of the following, which are not considered defects:

• Temperature Reactions: The UK’s cold weather can cause mango skin to develop dark spots or patches. This is a natural reaction to temperature change and does not necessarily indicate the mango is spoiled inside.

• Harvest Marks: Stem sap may drip onto the skin during harvesting (more common with varieties like Paayri), appearing as dark spots when dry. In most cases, this does not affect the fruit quality.

• Internal Variations: As a natural product, it is impossible to inspect the inside of every fruit without cutting it open. Occasionally, fruit appearing normal externally may have internal variations.

• Storage Recommendation: Consuming mangoes within a few days of receipt is recommended. Avoid storage for more than 3–5 days.

• Policy: For these natural characteristics, mango exchanges cannot be offered.

5. Returns, Claims, and No Refund Policy

DesiGrocers operates a Strict No Refund Policy on all mango boxes and seasonal produce.

Exceptional Circumstances: If an entire box is found to be of unacceptable quality, we may review the case entirely at our discretion, provided the following evidence is submitted within one hour of collection or delivery:

• Notification of the issue sent to DesiGrocers.

• Individual photos or videos of each affected mango.

• A group photo showing the entire box contents.

6. Refund Exceptions & Administrative Charge

In the rare event that DesiGrocers approves a discretionary refund, an administrative charge of 10% of the total order value will be deducted from the refund amount.

7. Courier Tracking & Delays

• Tracking: Once dispatched, tracking details will be sent via email or SMS from our courier partners (typically ParcelForce, DPD, or others) using the contact details provided at checkout.

• Delays: While our partners aim for timely delivery, operational delays occur occasionally. DesiGrocers cannot guarantee specific delivery times once the parcel is handed over.

• DPD: We use DPD/Royal mail which targets next‑day delivery, but it is not guaranteed.
  If the parcel is delayed due to depot load, traffic, weather, or routing, DPD does not offer automatic compensation or guarantee freshness.

8. Responsibility After Dispatch & Customer Responsibilities

• End of Liability: Once an order has been handed over to the courier, Desi Grocers cannot accept responsibility for the condition of fruits, vegetables, seasonal products, or other items at the point of delivery.

• Proof Required: If issues arise, we encourage customers to record a video while opening the box and provide photographs as evidence. We will review the matter at our discretion.

• Address Accuracy: Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery address details. DesiGrocers cannot offer refunds for orders lost or undelivered due to incorrect address details provided by the customer.

• Weather Impact: Extreme heat or cold weather conditions may affect freshness during transit. These are natural factors beyond our control, and DesiGrocers cannot accept responsibility for such occurrences.
