Description
Paneer is a fresh, soft, non-melting cheese that originated in the Indian subcontinent. It’s also known as Indian cottage cheese. Paneer is made by curdling milk with an acid, such as lemon juice, vinegar, buttermilk, yogurt, or citric acid. The resulting whey is strained and pressed in cheesecloth to create a firm block of cheese. Paneer is non-aged and non-fermented.
